One Step.
Dear Friend,
There is a matter of utmost importance that I would love to discuss with you, your future. Where will you spend eternity? Are you going to heaven? Or are you one of those unfortunate ones who are only one step from hell. Multitudes of people are walking on the brink of hell and don’t even realize it and daily people are stepping out into the darkness and have no assurance of where they are going. This letter you are reading contains very important information that could help you secure where you will be after you pass through deaths door. Hell is only one step away for the ones who have not been made righteous in Christ Jesus. If you should get down from a taxi and a passing car runs you down you could quite possibly open your eyes in the flames of hell. I certainly do not want that for you or anybody else and neither does our loving Father; the word of God says; “ He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance and the acknowledging of the truth.” (see 2 Peter 3:9)
Perhaps you are thinking no problem I am a Christian, I pay my tithes , I
believe I am saved, I have been in the church most of my life. You might
even be on the worship team or help in the Sunday School. Tell me do
you think there will be sinners in heaven? We know that the bible makes it
very clear, there will be no sinners in heaven. “Know ye not that the
unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived:
neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor
abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor
drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of
God.” 1Cor.6:9,10 May I ask you a very personal question, do you
have sin in your heart? Are you righteous? You might ask, doesn’t the
bible say; “ There is none righteous no not one?” Ro.10:9 That is correct
In Adams race there are none who are righteous, Jews or Gentiles. It is
also true that the word says “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all
acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of
whom I am chief.” You see we were all born into Adams race and none of
us are righteous , this is why we must be born again, we must be born from
above or born into the family of God. In the book of Romans it explains
that judgment came upon all men because of Adams disobedience but
through the obedience of Christ many can be made righteous.
Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to
condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came
upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience
many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made
righteous. Ro.5:19 If you have been made righteous you may enter into
heaven but unless you are righteous you will be judged with the
unbelievers.
In John 3:18 it says; “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but
He that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not
believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Perhaps you are
thinking, I have believed in Jesus the Son of God. My dear Friend many
people think they believe in Jesus, they worship him, they sing and dance
to him, they do many things in his name but they are not righteous and
continue in their sin. Jesus explained; “Not every one that saith unto me,
Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the
will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day,
Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many
wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Ma.7:21-23
True faith works miracles and the most important miracle for each
believer is the salvation of the soul and no one can be saved who has not
fully believed God. Some who say that they believe in God fail to believe
his word or his promises. There was a man who was known to be a Friend
of God, his name was Abraham, and the reason was that he believed
God. In Ro. 4:20-25 It says; “He staggered not at the promise of God
Through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And
Being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to
perform.
And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not
written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to
whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our
Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised
again for our justification.”
Do you believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead?
Was he delivered for our offences? In another words did he die because
of your sin? Do you belief that Jesus Christ the Son of God raised
from the dead with the same body that bore the scars of the nail
prints in his hands and feet. Do you believe the word of God that says
you also can be made righteous because he will impute unto you His
Righteousness? If you truly believe this then my dear Friend you are only
one step away from being made righteous and saved by the grace of
God.
That is the step of repentance, one step of faith turning away from all sin
and submitting to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted
out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the
Lord;” Acts3:19
I trust you will take heed to the word of God and put your faith in the
promises of God. When Peter was preaching and the people were moved
they ask him, “what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and
be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For
the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off,
even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words
did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward
generation. Acts2: 38-40
